This was Gemma's idea really but I'm posting it........

Not sure what peoples plans are after the race but there's talk of heading into Cambridge for lunch by the river or something. Nothing too organised, just see what people feel like.

Great idea, I'll be up for that.

Lots of options....... Depends what people fancy.

Parking in the town is always horrible. Granchester (sp?) is lovely & has some really nice pubs or a fantastic orchard tea-room.

Great idea. Can't think of any reason why we shouldn't go there. I'll always be drawn to a "really nice pub" or, especially, a "fantastic orchard tea-room". Very Happy

This is the 'orchard tea room' >>> http://www.orchard-grantchester.com/

But it might be a bit nice for us lot so maybe the pub is a better option Razz

Btw - if the weather is anything like it's been today I'll be doing 'nothing'.

I do not need a repeat of Bedford 2008 Twisted Evil

The forecast says light rain shower. That'll be like the light rain shower we had today, then.

Biblical.

The forecast is dry and warm. Goes to show not to take any notice of the weather 5 days in advance of a race.

They have finally posted the wave start times:

Wave No. Start Time Age Group Categories Size
Wave 1 08:00 All Ladies + Cat L and M (Male) 71
Wave 2 08:20 Cat G, J and K (Male) 69
Wave 3 08:40 Cat H and I (Male) 70
Wave 4 09:00 Cat D, E and F (Male) 69

Hannah - a special note for you below Wink

Competitors who indicated that they would have a relatively slow swim time may be started in waves 1 or 2.

Nice one Dan.

Metcheck says fair and 17 degrees
BBC says light rain and 19 degrees
The app on my iphone says cloudy and 18 degrees

They'll all say something different tomorrow.

I'm taking no notice of the forecast.
